Letting AI Chair a Meeting Is Less Ridiculous Than It Sounds

If AI already knows the background to a problem, keeping it involved in the meeting can be surprisingly useful.

Letting AI chair a meeting sounds ridiculous until you try a lighter version of it.

Before the meeting, give it the background, the problem and what you are trying to decide. Then keep the same conversation available while everyone is in the room. It can recap the context, surface a question you have missed and keep track of what has actually been agreed.

It does not need to run the room or start pretending to be the boss. The useful bit is simply stopping all the thinking that happened before the meeting from disappearing when everyone sits down.

When the meeting finishes, the same context can become the notes, decisions and actions. It sounds much more artificial than it feels once you actually use it.
