You Can Now Talk to Reports Instead of Building Them

Once AI can read the underlying data, a report becomes something you can question rather than something you have to keep rebuilding.

Reports used to mean deciding the questions in advance, building the tables and charts, and then going back to rebuild them when somebody asked something different.

That is starting to feel backwards. If AI can read the underlying spreadsheet or connected data, you can ask the question first. Which customers are down? What changed this month? Draw the margin trend. Show the odd numbers.

The useful shift is from building a dashboard for every possible question to having a conversation with the information when you need it.

You still need good data underneath it, and you still need to check important answers. But for everyday management questions, talking to a report can be much quicker than building another version of it.
